Every child deserves the chance to be understood, diagnosed, and cared for — no matter where they are born.

Odessia is a nonprofit organization working to expand access to clinical whole genome sequencing for children with suspected rare genetic diseases, especially in regions where this testing is unavailable, unaffordable, or difficult to navigate.

For many families, the path to a diagnosis can take years. They may see multiple specialists, undergo repeated tests, and still be left without answers. Whole genome sequencing can help shorten that journey by giving physicians and families a clearer understanding of what may be causing a child’s symptoms.

But access remains deeply unequal.
